this is an email that i just sent to my therapist lady, who is approximately 2 years younger than me.
Hi,
So I just looked up foot tendinitis and I got this website:
http://www.arthritis-symptom.com/tendinitis/foot-tendinitis.htm
Either it means that what the doctor is having me do is going to prove grossly insufficient (I need to see an orthopedist) or there are some serious problems- arthritis, possible diabetes, and this weird link to psoriasis- that he is not addressing.
This complicates everything, bc if I get a job, I have to worry about how to get there. My preference is to have a job that is 2 miles or less from my house so I bike there or walk 1/2 hour each way. And if I can't walk anywhere...well, I also can't be taking BART to the city, unless I take a bus from one of the bart stations, which adds 20 minutes each way to my commute. Aside from the nausea from the diesel and the bad driving, and the anger from being on the street, and the whole feeling of not having control over my own commute and where my body is being taken, and the impatience over not being able to do anything while I'm on the bus breathing people's perfumed products, that sounds fine.
And I feel bad that I forgot to tell him how much I need walking- it helps me to clear my head, feel like I have gotten some exercise for the sake of getting exercise, get my heartrate up a little bit...if I can't get any exercise, how am I supposed to deal with this increasing obesity?
Today on the phone one of my friends was making fun of his partner's ex, who is so slothful and fat and lazy, and it turns out that he weighs the same as me! And tho I may watch a lot of TV and do a lot of kickass work at the computer (REALLY good work), I still get more exercise in a day than most Americans do...
and how can I work at a computer if my hands hurt this much?
Fucking pms...thanks for listening to my rant.
