things are such a mess...
Ok, so I have been thinking a lot about collectives and especially how dysfunctional the ones I am involved in are.
I wonder if I will ever again get involved in a group as fucked up as the ones I work with. I guess I probably will. But anyhow, when we talk about intentional community, we often forget about intentionality. Like you really have to think about what you are getting involved in. People have to talk about why they are there and what they want to get out of the experience.
So the website put off the one that was supposed to be this weekend cuz noone found a space or contacted facilitators. Nice one. At our sparsely attended (by "members") meeting last weekend, we decided to put it off till the end of January. One person said he was going away for a month or something, so god forbid, we can't meet without him...I hope that other people who weren't there are able to go that week.
I hope I can wait that long- I am so sick of being mad at people. And we can't bring new people in when things are like this.
