Investigating pain

Hm. So the rainy season started a few weeks ago. I did a lot of housecleaning that week. By the end of the week, I was in so much pain that I called and got a doctor's appt. I went in for the pain in my hands and feet, and got a flu shot while i was there.

My hands were toast. Pain down the fingers, numbness after biking only 1 mile, stiffness, and sometimes pain on the palms. I had never seen this doctor before (that's what you get with county health care- no continuum of care). I told her I had had a nerve conduction study done the year before, and that my understanding was that it's not carpal tunnel disease. She said it's probably arthritis. Even with the pain in my palms? She said something about the fascia and how it's all connected. Of course there is no sign of the test results in my record. I had to fill out a records request to the county medical center to try to get that info for the doctor.

As far as my feet. I have pain most of the time, but sometimes at the gym, I also have numbness in my feet - when I am on the cardio machines. She said that this is probably a neuropathy. Isn't that what people with diabetes get? I didn't ask her what my fasting blood sugar test result was, but I'm sure it probably doesn't sure diabetes.

What is wrong with my body? Why can't I lose any weight? Should I stop doing this kind of cardio, and if so, what should I do?

I went to yoga on Friday. My everything hurt for 2 days after. My feet felt better during the class, but I noticed that when I was carrying my mat to the closet at the end, I was limping. But I am hoping to get to yoga more often- maybe twice a week, for now. (you have to have realistic goals).

I am hoping to do:
rowing 2x
swimming 2x
weights 3x
cardio up to 5x
and yoga 2x

I an going to try to get a new cardio routine and some new weights exercises cuz the yoga class showed me some serious weaknesses.
