I forgot my mother's birthday!
doh, i totally forgot that her 60th birthday was today (yesterday). Oops.
I heard this thing on Terry Gross yesterday, an interview with a woman whose brother had killed their parents and younger sister. It really got me thinking about the abuse in the house I grew up in, and how much I enjoy not thinking about it. And wondering why I ever talk to any of those people!
My cousin N. and I have often asked ourselves, separately and together, what the hell went on in our moms' house when they were growing up, to make them so crazy (and at least in the case of my mother, mean).
