Thursday's update:

I have a
"doctor's"appointment (the county medical people) scheduled for late Feb. Since the clinic I went to closed, this is my frist primary "care"
appointment. I think I will ask them for a hypoglycemia test and a lead
test and...?

My understanding is that the landlady told these folks about the lead
when they moved in, but I am pretty sure that there is nothing in our
current lease that says there is lead.

So
the latest is that the landlady showed up when I was just getting ready
to get ready to go to work (this takes a long time when you live in a
coop). I am not clear if this visit was scheduled by my housemate, or if
she just showed up. the housemate was the one who is the most freaked out
(her kid has a lower lead level).

The landlady took measurements in the hallway where the washing
machine, dryer, and back entrance are (the hall also leads to 1 br and 1
ba). I was trying to not hover, but to be aware of what was generally
going on, so I could catch the landlady before she left and talk to her.

At some point they moved on to doing some lead tests with those crayon
things (I have not read enough about any of this, I have a lot going on).
anyhow, my understanding is that there was no lead in the hallway floor,
in the dining room floor,
or in the front entryway floor. There might or might not be on the wall
in the hallway (there is a window about 6 feet above the ground and I
overheard them saying that this was an area of concern, but I'
not clear on if there was lead there).

So this woman totally acted on her fears without bothering to TEST FOR
LEAD?! I was like, why don't you test for lead in the areas where one of
the kids is always eating paint chips from the wall?!

There is no house meeting in sight, since we've got a singer who is in a
show. Thankfully I am too busy and broke to have to explain
why I probably couldn't sit in a crowded theater.

Friday's update:
One of my housemate told me that he showed the landlady the front of the shower stall in the bathroom just off the abovementioned hallway. The wooden front of the stall was wobbly. He tried to show her how it moved, and I guess the whole thing came off, a clowd of ants flew into the air, and he stuck his hand in there and there was all this spongy mold in there. this means that the mold is coming up from under the house. It is my housemate thinks that the landlady will lose this bathroom if she doesn't deal with it the right way. Apparently there is some sort of beetle infestation under the house that may be eating away at things down there.

The landlady is coming at 9 to allegedly tear apart the bathroom, which has more mold in it than she can imagine. It is right next to the hallway that she seems to be planning to actually be planning to throw linoleum down in. (I thought that they had decided to not do that part).

I happened to go out to our front gate a half an hour ago and I noticed a bucket of adhesive that had been thrown over. there is also a bag of supplies and a roll of lino. The adhesive claims to be low odor.

But again, the mold might end up being the bigger concern. I may see if I can get/borrow an ozone machine. I think I am going to pack up enough stuff (maybe even cat food, I could just feed her outside?) for the next 3 days and have my boyfriend pick me up. I can stop and visit to shift the compost, but at least I can avoid going inside.
